A Day In The Life Of You presented by Musical Sprouts is coming late September to the Wonderland Spiegeltent at The Paddock, Federation Square. Playing as part of the Melbourne Fringe, the Melbourne-based children’s theatre group, comprised of Yella, Blueno and Reddy, will delight audiences of all ages with their fun and interactive show.

Written specifically for children aged two-to-six, A Day In The Life Of You features original songs, live instruments, dancing and audience participation. During the 50 minute education show, the Sprouts address the daily challenges of growing up, such as eating a healthy breakfast and learning to brush teeth, getting dressed and cleaning up.

Writer/performer Bridget a’Beckett (Yella) says, “We are so thrilled to be performing at Melbourne Fringe 2019. We can’t wait to share our show with Fringe audiences in the magical Spiegeltent. It feels like the perfect home for us!”

The Musical Sprouts performers Bridget a’Beckett, Sharni Page and Julia Davis have all enjoyed successful professional theatre careers. After they became mothers, instinctively they began looking for a new way to express themselves creatively within their changed lives. This unique collaboration of Musical Sprouts came from a shared belief that a love of music can shape a life – and I fully share their sentiment.

As someone who went to the theatre as a young person, I know how much the shows I saw helped shape me into the person I am today, took me down this creative career path, and made me understand the importance of music and the arts. Tickets start at $18 – but long-term benefits of a renewed sense of confidence and musicality could be priceless.
