My Favourite Five Upcoming Sequels

I would have LOVED to be able to put Bill and Ted’s whatever whatever third installment n this list, but alas, are the rumours true? Are they not? Can we get an answer? We have a plot. We know the plot. When’s the movie going to be made? Can we crowd-fund it? Is that possible? I just want it made! Alas. I’m also super excited to see the new Flatliners – although I don’t think it can compare with the original. It scared the bejesus out of me!

5 Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
I never can describe what on Earth (or universally – see what I did there?) is going on in these kinds of movies. So please enjoy the official release description, for your reading pleasure: Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.

4 Thor: Ragnarok (2017)
I’m not one for superhero movies (and technically this isn’t a sequel at it – more a third installment), but I’ve always liked Thor. And no, it’s not due to Chris Hemsworth, thank you – I’ve always been more of a Loki fan myself – but I’ve always been a nerd for Norse mythology … The plot is a super secretive right now but it’s currently being filmed. Also nice to see that the movie is not being overshadowed by another one of Tay-Tay’s failed relationships. Let’s move on now, shall we?

3 Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018)
While a plot isn’t available yet – who ever expects a movie called Ant-Man to be any good? But it strangely was. I think that comes down to the charms of Paul Rudd, but hey, I’m probably just majorly biased on the matter. For now, enjoy the trailer to the 2015 original.

2 Bad Santa (2016)
Is it sick and twisted that Bad Santa is my favourite Christmas movie – ever?! Like, seriously, I wouldn’t call me a Grinch but I’m not a huge lover of the holiday season. This movie sums up my thoughts perfectly. The sequel is about Willie and his sidekick, Marcus, trying to knock off a Chicago charity on Christmas Eve.

1 John Wick: Chapter 2 (2017)
Honestly, I couldn’t really care if this movie has a plot of not – but he’s in Rome for some kind of business. All I need to see is Keanu looking hot while shooting people while wearing a suit. The first was amazing and this guarantees to be just as good!

Honourable Mentions:
Inferno (2016)
The Incredibles 2 (2019)
Frozen 2
Constantine 2
The Lego Movie Sequel (2019)
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 2 (2018)
