Producer John Frost for Crossroads Live has announced the full cast for Neil Simon’s Tony Award-winning comedy The Odd Couple, which plays at Melbourne’s Comedy Theatre from May and Theatre Royal Sydney from June. New tickets go on sale this week due to popular demand.

Thoughts on Spy (2015)

I know some of you are probably thinking “Ugh a Melissa McCarthy movie, great” and rolling your eyes. Let’s face it, you either like her movies or you don’t.  She tends to take jokes a bit too far (and into really bizarre and crude places) but, overall, I enjoy her movies. Even if she does get a little type cast in stereotypical roles.

When I saw the trailer for Spy I was interested in seeing it but also a little indifferent. If you go by the trailer alone it seems over the top, completely ridiculous and stereotypical. And it is. But it works. And there’s so much more to it than just the trailer.

My Favourite Five: Zombie Themed Comedies

Sometimes all you need is a little comedy and some zombie mayhem to get you through the day. Here are five movies that gel the comedy and gore quite nicely:

5.) Fido (2006)

Thanks to radiation from space no one who dies stays dead in this 1950s  universe and headless funerals are the only way to make sure your relatives don’t come back as zombies. The good news? If they do rise again you can domesticate them with a collar and have them serve you. How creepy. While Fido has subtle humour it is more of a sentimental zombie movie that sees Billy Connolly relying heavily on body language for his non speaking role as a boy’s pet zombie/only friend Fido.
